I am a 42 year old wife, mother, waitress, fitness instructor, gardener, dog lover, optimistic, alcoholic.  I am hoping to acheive life long sobriety but what I am finding out is that putting the drink down is the first step….learning to live without the alcohol is a life long journey, one that I am hoping to find is a lot more exciting than what I have been living.  I would also like to try and take the sting out of being a female alcoholic.  I live in a very small midwest town so well I feel my reputation proceeds the REAL me.  I have drank/party since high school.  It use to be fun but in the last 10 years or so it has not been.  I am a binge/blackout PUBLIC drinker.  I do not want to stay home to drink but let’s go to town.  I hope my actions can speak louder than any words that I might type here but I also hope my words encourage and support anyone who might take the time to read my blog.
